Archeform IFC — Privacy Policy
Version 1 of 26 October 2026 · effective from 26 October 2026
This policy covers Archeform IFC, our viewer and data editor for IFC building models on macOS. In short: the app does not collect any personal data, and your models never leave your Mac.
Our website, the Archeform BIM extension for SketchUp and e-mail support are covered by the main Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
The app is published by Archeform s.r.o., company ID No. 23287993, with its registered office at Pohořany 162, 411 41 Žitenice, Czech Republic (“we”, “us”). Contact for personal data matters: [email protected].
2. Your models stay on your Mac
- The app opens, displays, edits and saves IFC files only on your Mac. It does not upload, sync or send their content anywhere.
- The app has no network access of its own. It runs in the macOS App Sandbox without permission to connect to the internet.
- There is no account and no sign-in, and no analytics, advertising or tracking.
- On your Mac, the app keeps its settings and a list of recently opened files, so that macOS lets it reopen them. These stay on your Mac.
3. Purchases
Archeform IFC Pro is sold as a subscription through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and your Apple Account as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, e-mail address or payment details, only aggregated sales reports. The app checks your subscription on your Mac, using the signed record of your purchase that macOS provides.
4. Crash reports and diagnostics
The app contains no crash reporting or diagnostics of its own. If you have chosen in macOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you. You can change this at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
5. Beta testing with TestFlight
If you test a beta version through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple shares with us the feedback you choose to send (comments and screenshots), crash reports from the beta, and — if we invited you by e-mail — your name and e-mail address. We use this information only to fix and improve the app, and keep it only for as long as the beta test runs. TestFlight is operated by Apple under its own privacy policy.
6. When you contact us
If you write to [email protected], we use your e-mail address and your message to reply. Details are in the main Privacy Policy.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Write to [email protected]; we will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.gov.cz) or with the supervisory authority in the EU Member State where you live or work.
8. Changes
We will publish any change to this policy on this page with a new date. If a future version of the app were ever to collect personal data, this policy would be updated before that version is released.
