What follows is a brief for the lawyer, not the documents themselves. Nothing on this page is binding on anyone, and the page must not be published in this state.
Task W6 in the launch plan. All three documents need a Czech lawyer before the checkout goes live, because the checkout has to link to them.
Licence agreement
What it has to cover:
- What the licence permits — one named user, two machines, commercial use
- What it does not — redistribution, resale, sharing a key across a practice
- What happens when a subscription ends: read-only, and that existing work stays accessible
- Educational licences: non-commercial only
- Limitation of liability for the output. Archeform produces drawings, schedules and IFC files that go into documentation someone signs and stamps. Responsibility for checking them stays with the chartered person who signs. This is the clause that matters most and it must be plainly worded, not buried.
Terms of sale
- Price, currency, renewal period and how renewal is cancelled
- Fourteen-day refund, and that it applies to purchases made here
- Who the seller is — Archeform s.r.o., and the merchant of record if that differs
- Support commitment: reply within two working days
- Supported SketchUp versions and how that support ends
Privacy
- What is collected: e-mail address, licence key, machine identifier
- Why: sending the key, checking the licence, telling you before renewal
- How long it is kept
- Who processes it — the payment provider, the e-mail provider, the analytics
- That analytics is cookie-free and does not follow anyone across sites
- Rights under GDPR and how to exercise them
