What is being built.
No dates. A date that slips does more damage than no date at all — what you get instead is the order, and a changelog that says what actually landed.
The next release
- Garage doors — sectional doors as a door type, with plan symbol, schedule mark and IFC data
- Moving windows and doors directly in plan view
- Section marks that stay visible on top of the model, with clear direction arrows
- IFC export: storey elevations, project and building names, terrain as a site element, glass and colours on windows and doors
Releases after that
- IfcZone — grouping rooms into apartments, fire compartments and other zones
- Horizontal division of windows — transoms, sashes one above another
- Window surrounds — a raised frame around the opening
- IFC export: quantities as proper IFC quantity sets, in the units of the file
- Turning an existing solid into a wall, slab, footing, roof or column
- Ramps drawn with their plan symbol, with the rise set while drawing
- Thermal insulation drawn as the usual wavy line in sections and plans
- IFC export: closed solids for layered walls and a cleaner file
Further out
- Tapered walls — a different thickness at each end, as found in older buildings
- Elements linked across storeys — change one, the linked copies follow
- Parametric chimneys
- Parametric non-structural parts — gutters, downpipes, ladders
- Room labels placed from the zones in the model
- LayOut: dimensions and marks for windows and doors placed automatically — axis, width, height, position
- LayOut: layer build-ups called out on a leader
- LayOut: legends built from what is in the drawing
- Curved walls
- Import of CAD hatch patterns (.pat)
- Simplified geometry for library objects in sections
- Czech interface alongside English
How things get on this list
Mostly because somebody asked while they were in the middle of a job. That is the strongest signal there is, and it beats anything on a whiteboard.
If what you need is not here, say so. Tell us what you are trying to produce rather than which button you want — the underlying problem is more useful, and sometimes there is already a way.
Known limits, documented
Things Archeform does not do are written down in the documentation next to the feature they belong to, not hidden at the bottom of a page. Reading that curved walls are missing before you start is far better than discovering it at eleven at night.
